It is based on the real life dual- mode shotgun that can be either semi automatic or pump action, the Franchi SPAS-12.

The SPAS-12 is unlocked at Rank 19. It costs $8,000, and ammunition for this weapon costs $75 for 25 rounds. This gun is really good. It has very high damage and is best against big zombies (Shadow, Mamushka, Butcher), as well as crowds of zombies. This gun is best in Onslaught mode. The SPAS-12 has super high damage that can tear through zombies. However, there are long delays between each shot, and reload is also quite slow. But despite that, this is a great weapon and definitely worth your time.
