Straight from the space marines' arsenal, the M41-A is an extremely powerful, extremely fast firing, and extremely accurate weapon that will mow down even Devastators in a matter of seconds. It is one of the most powerful fully-automatic weapons available, second only to the Browning M2. In many respects it's the bigger brother of the Beowulf 0.50, improving upon its damage and magazine size while retaining a similar level of mobility and rate of fire. Additionally, the Grendel can tear up a purge nest in fewer than 75 bullets.
There are few cons to this weapon, if any. Its only downside is that it may be too good. Being available at Rank 20, it is possible to acquire this weapon quite early in the game. At rank 20, use of the M41-A Grendel can eliminate almost all of the challenge. Most players shouldn't use this weapon until at least rank 40 if they wish to retain this difficulty.
Performance-wise, the M41-A Grendel is very similar to the ZCS Seizure, but while the Grendel may have more power than the Seizure, ammuntion for the Seizure is ten times cheaper. It also has a higher rate of fire than the Grendel.
SAS Zombie Assault Tower Defense
In SAS Zombie Assault Tower defense, the M41-A Grendel is the last upgrade on path one for the MG SAS. It requires 300 SAS Dollars to unlock. It is immensely powerful, with only a few soldiers upgraded to this able to hold back regular hordes indefinitely. Even a single soldier can take down a Ruin if assisted with a few Cryo Grenades.
