The SCMITR Bio-shotgun is a semi-automatic shotgun in SAS: Zombie Assault 3 and is one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful, guns in the game. It costs 60 NK coins, or $5.99 on the mobile version. The power association is due to the fact that after shooting a zombie, the zombie takes damage over time, and the corpse explodes (with damage significantly higher than the MGL-140), damaging nearby zombies. Thus, it is best used in close quarters and/or on tightly-packed zombie groups. At near point-blank range, the gun is also able to kill Butchers and Mamushkas in 1 shot, making this a truly devastating weapon to wield. Although its ammunition is expensive (at $500 for 100 rounds), usage of ammo is very slow, and the pros outweigh the cons. The AA-12 shotgun, in comparison to the SCMITR, is less damaging for its rounds and do not cause a corpse to explode.

It has more damage than the Mark II per shot so the damage bar is highly inaccurate. The 8 round clip is also inaccurate; it is able to carry 12 rounds (24 with the "High Capacity Magazines" skill).

  • In the SCMITR purchase screen, the description says that it uses BioTox in its ammunition. This is somewhat confusing, as BioTox is a biological weapon and is responsible for causing the zombie apocalypse in Zombie Assault 3.
